Downton Abbey Comes to Tea Time at Hotel Viking

Because who wouldn't want to enjoy an afternoon tea like Lady Mary?

In honor of Downton Abbey's latest season, Hotel Viking has announced that they're bringing back their Gilded Age Tea starting this Sunday, Jan. 18. After this weekend, The Gilded Age Tea will be held every Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 p.m. until Sunday, Feb. 23, the day of the season finale.

The Gilded Age Tea will include an assortment of freshly prepared tea sandwiches, assorted scones served with lemon curd, a selection of freshly baked tea breads, chocolate truffles, and a glass of Kir Royale. To complete the Downton Abbey inspired experience, afternoon guests may also sign up to win DVDs of Downtown Abbey's first three seasons. The winner will be chosen on Sunday, Feb. 23.

If you're interested in spending a weekend afternoon like a Lady (or a Lord), call Hotel Viking at 401-848-4824 to make reservations before you make your grand entrance.

Wilton/Hoboken: A Sunday Complete with TV and Italian

My family and I went to visit my eldest brother in Hoboken this afternoon and ate lunch at Margherita's. When we came back, there was plenty of movie-watching to be done. My parents have been hooked on Revenge, I started devouring the Criterion Collection on HuluPlus by watching Grey Gardens.

Grey Gardens

I was very impressed with the premiere episode of Downton Abbey's third season, especially with the fact it was commercial-free. It's hard to miss an episode of Downton, because so much can happen in the first fifteen minutes, let alone two-hours. As much as I would love to gush about it, I don't want to spoil anything...
