On Sunday, February 10th, 2011 CFDA Swarovski Award Winner for Womenswear Prabal Gurung will release his collaborative capsule collection with Target. From Kathmandu, Nepal, Gurung has impressed the fashion world with his use of color and graphic prints. Gurung has been featured in major fashion publications from all over the world, including WWD, Vogue, Elle, and Bazaar, as well as international editions, He has dressed First Lady Michelle Obama, Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton, Oprah, and many Hollywood celebrities, according to an article from The Hollywood Reporter.
All pieces from the collection for Target are priced below $50.00. Glamour Magazine has all of the looks from the collection on their website, but I pinned my favorites here:
Located in SoHo, Kirna Zabete is one of the hottest designer boutiques known for carrying top-of-the-line labels such as Lanvin, Alexander Wang, Rachel Zoe, Thakoon, Balenciaga, Givenchy, and more. The 100-piece collection will be released in stores and online Sunday, September 9, 2012.
Does that lyric sound familiar? It's from Jay Z and Kanye West's single from last year, "Niggas in Paris."
Gucci and Louis Vuitton are frequently name-dropped designer brands in rap songs, but not so much Margiela. Regardless of this fact, Maison Martin Margiela is just as chic, modern, and influential in the fashion world. The Belgian designer's collection for H&M will be released Thursday, September 15, 2012.
When I found this article, I was floored, similar to my reaction when Max Azria collaborated with Walmart (we will ignore the fact that Miley Cyrus was the face of the collection). My style icon, Jessica Alba, has been seen wearing Narsico Rodriguez for events, so I will definitely be checking out this collection when it comes out in November or December.
Siriano's collaboration with Payless has been around for a few years. Although it is nothing new, it is nice to know that you can still "be fierce" on a budget without fighting fiercely over a pair of designer's shoes at a sale as seen in Confessions of a Shopaholic:
Later, there are plenty of more collaborations that will be available for the holiday season. Refinery 29 reports Neiman Marcus will have a collection at Target, as well as 24 CFDA designers.
If these collaborations have not inspired you to go fall shopping, the September issues are out-- Lady Gaga graces the September issue of Vogue.
Mark your calendars-- Sunday, February 5, 2012, Jason Wu's line for Target comes out!
Of course, you already know this, because it's been plastered all over Twitter/Facebook/and-the-like for the past few weeks. I am so excited to actually have Jason Wu pieces in my closet! Hopefully I will be able to beat out the other fashionistas waiting at the store on the collection's release date. Oh my, I will probably have to wait outside of a Target at 5:00 am or earlier...
Here are some websites about the designer's line if you have not read these articles already:
September 13th, Missoni will be brightening Target's red and white interior with a zillion colors. The Italian fashion house, known for its manipulation of color and pattern, will be releasing a fall collection for the masses. The budget conscious fashionista will want to drown herself in all of designer products--dresses, scarves, sweaters, and more. Margherita Missoni models in the ad campaigns seen in all the glossies.
Personally, I'm actually a bit of a colorphobe but the three scarves are amazing!

Sears made it a little bit easier to keep it up with the Kardashians--Kardashian Kollection hit the department stores' shelves earlier this month.
The Kardashians have done it again doing what they do best: winning fabulously.
Most of the clothing line is probably sold out, but I can't help but give my feedback anyway. Although I love the entire collection, here are my favorite picks I would die to wear at school:
Check out the rest of the collection before it all goes here!
