Boots
Everyone loves the practical pair of Sorel boots when the snow and slush is all over the ground, but there are two types of boot emerging from both the Wellington/Hunter family and the style influencers who found a way to bring their fur fetish to footwear.
The sweater boot looks as if there is already a woolen sock popping out, but it's just a great way to show off subtle layering. Please stop trying to bring leg warmers back and just wear these!
Sweater-Top Rainboot in Purple, $34.00, Charlotte Russe |
Manni Boot in Regal, $99.00, Juicy Couture |
I love the new fur boot--it is usually with a wedge or heel and has fur all over the calf of the boot. Sometimes it has a great strap or buckle running across the shaft to avoid looking like a furry beast!
Fur Cuff Wedge Bootie in Black, $45.50, Charlotte Russe |

Sweaters
Witness the comeback of the not-so-ugly-at-all patterned sweater:
Whittendale Crew Neck Jumper in Red, $119, Jack Wills |
Fair Isle Long Sweater in Black, $69.50, American Eagle Outfitters |
Gloves
Do you hate it when your hands get cold in the winter but you still like playing Words with Friends on your iPhone anyway? There are more gloves that can still keep you fashionably texting compared to last year.
Text Me Leather Gloves in Heather Prestige, $98.00, Juicy Couture |
Striped Texting Gloves (available in Green, Navy, Pink and Red) $15.50, American Eagle Outfitters |
Of course, these are not the only trends going on this winter. Next Trend Spotting: Winter 2011 I want to go over the scarf-hood hybrid--"the snood"-- and winter jackets.
