Flo's Clam Shack is one of Newport's classic, casual places to go in a summer city filled with expensive, upscale restaurants. Steps away from First Beach, people go to Flo's to satisfy their craving for comfort food by the sea.
My friend Lauren and I went to Flo's yesterday for lunch. Once we finally found parking, we waited in line to order a New England clam chowder and clamcakes combo and a cheeseburger.
Since clamcakes and cheeseburgers aren't the most aesthetically pleasing food to photograph, they're not pictured here, but they were good.
