The First Lady of the United States turned 49 today!
Mrs. Obama represents a model for the strong-willed, yet well-mannered, American woman. She is intelligent, articulate and tasteful. A quality about her that strikes me the most is that she works hard, but she has fun doing it.
Being "cool" or "young" is not the premier qualification to be president or the First Lady, but it certainly helps--so does being "well-dressed" and "hip." Mrs. Obama is known most for wearing bright colors and prints. Although the First Lady is more than just a fashion plate for American designers, here are some of my favorite looks of hers:
